Apple released iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4, which had caused several issues. The current list of problems includes abnormal battery drain, installation issues, Bluetooth issues, issues with the first and third-party apps, UI lag, FaceID problems, and Wi-FI issues.

On March 31, 2022, Apple issued iOS 15.4.1 and iPad OS 15.4.1 upgrades for iPhone and iPad users. According to the update, the following issues have been resolved in the newer version of iOS: Wifi access is quick and dependable, Bluetooth is up and running, GPS and cellular data are working, and Third-party programs such as Netflix, Twitter, Slack, Gmail, and others are fully functional, and Apps from the first party, such as Safari and Podcasts, are stable.

An issue that caused braille devices to become unresponsive while navigating text or showing an alarm was also corrected. The upgrades also fixed a problem with some third-party apps causing Made for iPhone and Made for iPad hearing devices to become unresponsive.

iOS 15.4.1 and iPadOS 15.4.1 address the flaw that allows any application to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges, which can pose a security problem. Apple has said that the zero-day vulnerability maybe "being exploited" in the field by certain attackers. It impacts devices such as the iPhone 6s and after, the iPad Pro (all models), the iPad Air 2 and later, the iPad 5th generation and later, the iPad mini 4 and later, and the iPod touch (7th generation). The upgrades will not impact the iPhone's lower models than the iPhone 6s such as iPhone 6, iPhone 5, and below. The lower models will have the same iOS version and will have the same features.

The expected upcoming iPhone 14 series will be having the next version of the iOS 15. x version.

Apple has also issued macOS Monterey 12.3.1, which provides a security remedy for the same issue for Macs with Intel CPUs and M1 series processors. It also includes two security updates. One of these is for the AppleAVD media decoder's zero-day vulnerability. The software update also closes a security issue in the Intel Graphics Driver, which might have allowed an attacker to gain access to kernel memory.

According to the release notes from Apple. After playing audio through select Beats headphones, macOS Monterey 12.3.1 introduces a fix that might cause Bluetooth devices, like game controllers, to disconnect from the Mac. It also fixes a fault that caused USB-C or Thunderbolt external displays connected to the 2018 Mac mini as a secondary display to not turn on.
